He- Man Casserole Recipe

This savory casserole is served with a creamy, tomato-based sauce that thickens as it cooks. It’s delicious served with quinoa, tortillas, homemade guacamole, sour cream and shredded cheese. You can even make it into a burrito or a quinoa bowl. Or you can just place the meat in the casserole dish, and follow the original recipe.
If you wish to have more of a runny sauce, just add water or broth. Doing that would make this dish delicious with quinoa or rice.

Ingredients:
2 lb. skirt steak
3 tablespoons ghee
1 large onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup celery, chopped
1 cup sour cream
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Yield: serving for 6
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 1-11/2 hours

Method:
In a Dutch oven melt the ghee.
Cut the steak into 1-inch strips. Add to the ghee. Cook for a few minutes.
Add the onion and garlic.
Add the flour and cook for 5 minutes.
Add the remaining ingredients (I didn’t add the mushrooms as suggested in the original recipe)
Cover, and let cook for 1-11/2 hours until the meat is tender (another change from the original recipe).
Serve with quinoa or rice.
